The most valuable things I discovered when watching the Educational Planning and Counseling video is that I can talk to councilors who will help guide me (#1), I can get guided into speaking to representatives of the schools I plan on transferring to (#2), and that I can graduate with an Associates at San Jacinto College (#3). I am going to use this information by making sure I keep in touch with advisors/councilors, so I can make sure I am on the right track. I will also need to make sure I speak to the representatives of The University of Houston, so all my classes will transfer. And lastly, I will see what Associates I can get, and if there are any prerequisites I can take at San Jacinto as well, before transferring.

The most valuable things that I saw while watching the Educational Planning and Counseling video;
ReplyDelete1) I wasn't aware of the San Jacinto GPS on the school's website. This is a great tool for me to be able to use, so I can check off the items that I have accomplish and have an idea of how much longer I have left until I achieve my goal. It's a visual progress for me.
2) On the school's website, you don't always have to go in and talk to a counselor or course planner to know what courses/requirements are needed for each degree. you can search up degrees in alphabetical order and view them online.
3) If you talk to your educational planner about whether or not you want to transfer to a 4 year school, they can help you figure out which courses will be transferrable to a new school of your choice, for whichever major you want to go into
