The key to maintain a successful average in this course is by staying on top of your work and not getting behind. This class is a very simple course that can easily be failed if you do not keep up with your work. 11. Dear Future GUST students,
This will be your first year of being on your own scholastically wise. You will not have your teachers, parents, and counselors on your back making sure you have your homework and whether or not you have studied for your tests and finals. This is when you put all the tools that you have learned through the years from your parents and teachers to the test. Only you know when to much is too much. I know you’re eager to take on college and conquer it. But know your limits don’t overwhelm yourself. Make as much friends as possible in your classes. Offer to share notes and study with others because you don’t know when you are going to need their help. Join clubs if you have an issue meeting others. College is like the real world you have to network everywhere you go. You cannot be shelled in college. The teachers expect you to communicate because if you don’t they will assume you know what you are doing. I wish they taught this course in High School it prepares you with information that is important to survive the first year. Remember that the odds are against you because teachers have a bad impression of first year students straight out of high school. They believe you are lacking the discipline to follow through. So make sure to save the excuses and just produce. Don't let anyone tell you, you can't do it. Good luck.
